About The Position

The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting the Sourcing Manager in managing supplier relationships, maintaining up-to-date raw material information, and ensuring all documentation and samples are properly collected and distributed. This role plays a key part in sourcing materials for both existing inventory and new R&D formulations, helping ensure quality and timely availability of raw materials.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
  • Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or R&D-related raw materials preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience collecting and managing technical documentation for products or materials is a plus
  • Familiarity with inventory management or ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and current product lists for each supplier
  • Gather updated pricing quotes to ensure accurate raw material cost information
  • Support the Sourcing Manager in qualifying secondary and alternate suppliers
  • Collect required documents for qualified raw materials in the company inventory system
  • Source and collect documents for new raw materials used in R&D formulation
  • Provide requested documentation to the Sales team in response to customer inquiries
  • Assist in sourcing samples for new raw materials from secondary/alternate suppliers
  • Submit raw material samples to R&D and Quality for validation testing
  • Source raw material samples for new customer projects in R&D formulations
  • Ensure the purchasing team receives all necessary information for new materials, including documentation templates
