About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, including data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The team works on complex supply chain problems to ensure continuous innovation and access for customers. This role involves joining a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, and operations managers, collaborating across AWS to maintain high standards for safety and security while providing cost-effective, infinite capacity. The Global Network Deployment (GND) organization specifically manages cabling infrastructure, network hardware deployment, and program management across AWS data centers worldwide. As a Sourcing Manager, you will be crucial in procuring goods and services for AWS data centers, working with networking, design engineering, and data center delivery teams to translate project requirements into material needs for on-time delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience
• 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field
• Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python
• Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company

Nice To Haves

• 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience
• Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day operational processes for cable ordering.
• Work with a range of stakeholders including supply chain, operations, engineering, and suppliers to drive supply profiles and to support on-time material availability.
• Analyze business and technology trends to identify process improvement opportunities, reduce costs, and minimize risks for AWS and its customers.
• Manage material inventories for AWS data centers
• Evaluate and monitor performance of suppliers
• Lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture, and follow-up activity coordination.
• Serve as an escalation point for teams to remediate supplier/material risks.
