This role assists with the development, execution and maintenance of procurement strategy for large, enterprise professional services and consulting vendors. It involves advising internal business partners, vendors and other strategic staff to provide efficient procurement methods and contract negotiations. The position also includes negotiating and reviewing large, strategic consulting contracts, evaluating suppliers and proposals, monitoring market trends, and interacting with senior management on projects. The Sourcing Manager effectively links procurement strategies to overall business strategy, coordinates projects across business lines, implements process improvements, and manages relationships with key suppliers to drive optimal outcomes and ensure clear definitions of benefits from category projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management or logistics, or equivalent work experience
  • At least one year of related experience

  • Experience in creation and/or implementation of a category strategy for enterprise-wide expenditures
  • Thorough knowledge of category management in areas such as consulting, temporary labor, business process outsourcing
  • Ability to manage relationships with large, strategic vendors
  • Well-developed critical thinking and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development, execution and maintenance of procurement strategy for large, enterprise professional services and consulting vendors.
  • Advises internal business partners, vendors and other strategic staff to provide the most efficient and effective procurement methods and contract negotiations.
  • Negotiates and reviews large, strategic consulting contracts.
  • Evaluates suppliers and proposals to ensure organization and customer needs are met.
  • Monitors market trends and internal organization priorities.
  • Interacts with senior management on short- and long-term projects.
  • Effectively links procurement strategies to overall business strategy and coordinates projects across business lines.
  • Implements process improvements, including use of technology to drive efficiency.
  • Manages relationships with key suppliers to drive optimal outcomes for the organization.
  • Ensures clear definitions of benefits from category projects.
