WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: Responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting a plan of action process for key commodities and suppliers that drives optimal customer service and profitability. Select suppliers and discuss agreements, ranging from tactical commodity pricing agreements to long-term strategic relationships. Monitor, analyze, communicate, and provide guidance for market cycle impacts and trends within assigned spend categories. Establish and implement business processes to reduce and control the total costs of purchased materials. Encourage active participation of supply management in all relevant activities, including product development, sales, planning, manufacturing, delivery, and after-sales support. Establish and lead sourcing programs and other key strategic projects. Lead efficiency metrics for the functional area consistent with the goals of the Segment. Implements outstanding supply management tools, technology, and sourcing processes to improve results & increase efficiencies. Lead, guide, and develop teams, creating an environment promoting career growth and exciting experiences. Broaden and deepen the relationships with existing and new suppliers while driving efficiencies and cost reductions. Effectively develops and communicates strategies, plans, actions, and results to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of dynamic experience in supply chain, global sourcing or procurement is preferred.
  • Proven people leader with experience managing, coaching, and developing teams.
  • Mastered the principles of Supply Chain Management, such as strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement processes, materials management, and supplier relationship management.
  • Skilled at effectively taking care of strategic issues, along with being skilled at detailed tactical activity involved in driving dedication.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate activities across cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Ability to address complex problems along with analytical skills to analyze and blend technical options into broader-based business strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to continuous evolution in business circumstances and have the ability to thrive in an ever-changing business environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
  • A background working for a manufacturer of durable goods is a plus.
