As a Solutions Engineering Leader, you will be directly responsible for technical excellence and revenue growth across mission-critical franchises including Corporate IT, Amazon Leo, AWS DC Internal, Direct Connect, and Outpost. You will provide technical direction and business guidance to the Amazon Account team, leading a team of Solutions Engineers. Your role involves developing and executing a comprehensive account strategy plan in partnership with the Client Executive and Account Managers, leveraging market trends and emerging technologies. You will also actively develop and maintain the engineering team strategy, seeking creative methods to improve performance and translate Amazon's complex infrastructure challenges into compelling Cisco solutions, while driving innovative programs to meet operational revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • 7-10 years of related presales experience with proven experience in engineering leadership roles
  • Strong technical background in two or more of the following: Enterprise Networking, Security, Wireless, SDWAN, Network Automation, AWS Cloud Infrastructure, or related technologies

Responsibilities

  • Have direct responsibility for technical excellence and revenue growth across mission-critical franchises – Corporate IT, Amazon Leo, AWS DC Internal, Direct Connect, and Outpost
  • Provide technical direction and business guidance to the Amazon Account team while leading a team of best-in-class Solutions Engineers
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive account strategy plan in partnership with the Client Executive (CE) and Account Managers, leveraging market trends, emerging technologies, and SE feedback to create a technical resource plan that prioritizes opportunities and aligns with Amazon's strategic objectives
  • Actively develop and maintain the engineering team strategy, continually seeking creative methods for improving team performance and translating Amazon's complex infrastructure challenges into compelling Cisco solutions
  • Drive innovative programs and lead day-to-day activities that help meet operational revenue goals and deliver measurable results
  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated Solutions Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Share a compelling vision, provide clarity of purpose, and actively remove obstacles to success
  • Actively advocate for your team's needs, growth opportunities, and career development
  • Develop a deep understanding of Amazon's current and future architecture across the different franchises
  • Co-create, co-develop, and co-innovate with Amazon on strategic engineering initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence
