About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our FINPRO team at Marsh Risk. This role will be based in New York City. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The position involves being an integral member of a world leader’s best in class placement team, delivering expert broking & strategic solutions to help manage risk with confidence. The individual will take the lead on development and management of facilities for FINPRO-related products, drive yield optimization initiatives, and oversee the execution and monitoring of strategic placement projects to ensure effective strategy implementation. Building and maintaining relationships with underwriters to manage the placement of insurance programs is also a key aspect of the role. The work aims to help institutions and municipalities become more safe, secure and successful. Requirements

  • 10+ years industry experience and success working collaboratively in a matrix team environment
  • Significant experience in insurance, brokerage or underwriting roles with direct responsibility for complex commercial clients and multi-line programs
  • Demonstrated success leading or mentoring teams, including coordinating workload, managing performance and supporting colleague development in a client-focused environment
  • Advanced knowledge of risk management principles, insurance products and market dynamics, with experience developing and executing renewal and placement strategies
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders and influence decision making

Responsibilities

  • Formulate facility development strategy by utilizing substantial risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop solutions that meet difficult client needs
  • Be responsible for execution of placement initiatives and accountability of participating markets
  • Lead internal marketing of client focused placement solutions to brokers and client executives
  • Devise the go-to-market yield strategy, advocates for the value of placement function and participates within pricing of services as applicable
  • Drive revenue growth through the effective management and delivery of strategic placement projects
  • Drive and build relationships with practice, insurance markets, clients, carriers and/or underwriters to provide cohesive client service
  • Master a detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions and informs client executives, client advisors, and/or clients of major developments affecting various types of products/coverage
  • Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participates in development of solutions
