About The Position

The Solutions Engineer for Ad Experiences is responsible for designing, scoping, and implementing technical solutions for premium sponsorships and brand partnerships across Roku’s advertising products. This role works closely with Product, Ad Ops, and Engineering to build custom solutions from initial design through launch and post-launch optimization.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in AdTech/MarTech at a leading publisher, DSP, SSP, ad network, or agency, preferably in a Solutions, Integrations, or Professional Services Engineering role.
  • 1–3 years of experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Datadog, Tableau, or similar, including the ability to develop custom dashboards, looks, and views. Hands-on experience with SQL, Hive, or another database technology is required.
  • Comprehension and hands-on experience in trafficking digital video and other formats, including VAST and VMAP.
  • A strong track record of providing technical support for external and internal stakeholders, particularly while overseeing complex integrations.
  • The ability to communicate concisely and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with audiences such as Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales.
  • An analytical mindset, project-management orientation, and a deadline-driven, process-oriented, and solutions-focused approach to work.
  • Experience partnering with Engineering teams to triage and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop trafficking documentation and train Ad Ops on setup and best practices for new products
  • Meet regularly with Product and Engineering to design and implement custom products within our ad tech stack
  • Collaborate with QA Engineering teams to create and maintain regression test cases for new and existing products
  • Test new and existing products, providing feedback to Engineering on design and implementation
  • Troubleshoot product issues, identify root causes, and escalate to Engineering teams when needed
  • Partner with Sales to review feasibility and manage exception requests for non-standard opportunities
  • Write clear documentation and define detailed specifications for new products and features
  • Train cross-functional teams on implementing new products and workflows.
  • Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
  • Work with Product Management on quarterly feature releases to ensure successful rollout, adoption, and operational readiness
