About The Position

As a Solutions Engineer at Jump, you’ll sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market. Your role is to translate complex customer needs into clear, scalable technical solutions, helping prospects and customers understand how Jump fits into their existing systems and workflows. You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales and implementation lifecycle: leading discovery, designing integrations, delivering tailored demos, and partnering closely with internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. As Jump continues to scale, you’ll also help shape our pre-sales motion, technical documentation, and product roadmap based on real-world customer feedback. Jump’s primary product is an AI assistant helping financial advisors with their client meeting cycle and other workflows. Jump’s product is expanding to include many other advisor workflows, as well as into other finserv verticals. Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role
  • Experience working with B2B SaaS products, ideally in a growth-stage startup
  • Comfort supporting enterprise or strategic accounts with complex technical requirements
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, APIs, and integrations
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and third-party platforms
  • Familiarity with data models, SQL, and how data moves across systems
  • Working knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Go)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
  • Exceptional communication skills- you can clearly explain technical concepts to any audience
  • Consultative, customer-first approach with strong problem-solving instincts
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and wearing multiple hats in a fast-growing environment
  • Energized by building trusted relationships and helping customers succeed

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical discovery with mid-market and enterprise prospects to understand workflows, constraints, and success criteria
  • Design end-to-end solutions spanning integrations, data flows, and system architecture
  • Produce clear technical diagrams and solution documentation to align internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner with Sales as the technical lead on complex deals
  • Deliver tailored product demos that communicate Jump’s value to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Address questions around architecture, security, data models, and integrations
  • Own technical components of RFPs, RFIs, and security reviews
  • Advise on and support integrations using APIs, webhooks, and third-party systems
  • Collaborate with Engineering to validate feasibility, scope custom solutions, and unblock complex implementations
  • Guide customers and partners on integration best practices
  • Scope and lead proofs of concept (POCs) for strategic prospects
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues during onboarding and implementation
  • Ensure smooth handoffs from Sales to Customer Success and Implementation
  • Share structured customer feedback with Product and Engineering
  • Influence the roadmap by identifying recurring customer needs and integration patterns
  • Improve pre-sales tooling, demo environments, and technical documentation
