About The Position

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. has set the benchmark in the automation industry, delivering top-tier solutions and innovations. As we continue to grow, Westfalia is looking to hire a Solutions Delivery Manager to join our team. The Solutions Delivery Manager is responsible for directing the planning and integration of departmental efforts to ensure systems meet expected performance. This role requires working closely with clients during system commissioning, managing projects, training staff and clients, and traveling as needed.

Requirements

  • Understanding of systems engineering and the ability to define and conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively working with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to provide direction, motivate teams, and make decisions autonomously.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, and managing resources to achieve project goals.
  • Ability to coordinate various aspects of projects, including training schedules and shipping logistics.
  • Ability to carefully check that all project aspects meet promised specifications and performance standards.
  • Effective organization and prioritization of tasks to meet deadlines.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in managing projects in industries with similar activities, like material handling and automation, with responsibility for projects’ performance.
  • 4 -year degree in Engineering

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or German is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides the necessary direction for planning, organizing, developing, and integrating the efforts of all departments to have systems that meet their expected functionalities and performance from the outset.
  • Defines Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) for our systems that evidence their full compliance with what has been promised to clients during the sales process.
  • Defines a commissioning plan with the client and the internal teams, and coordinates training of customer’s operators and maintenance crews.
  • Works with client during the commissioning of the systems, maintaining client expectations, keeping the client, management, and other stakeholders well informed of all relevant activities and status.
  • Travels to customer sites for execution, inspection, and coordination as required. The amount of travel is dependent upon the complexity of the project and how it is being executed.
  • Manage projects as necessary to accommodate the company’s workload in the Project Management Department.
  • Operates autonomously, seeking advice as needed, following the company’s processes and procedures, and providing inclusive leadership to the stakeholders.
  • Enhances the organization’s reputation by taking ownership of the projects, by keeping our commitments, by developing a good, respectful relationship with the customer and by exploring opportunities to add value to the customer’s investment.
  • Ensures that the customer obtains the value promised during the sales cycle, as well as working with the client to maximize their satisfaction of the system. The goal being to ensure Westfalia’s reputation in the marketplace remains positive.
