About The Position

The Solutions Consultant role is responsible to meet quarterly and annual quota objectives working in tandem with the Sales organization. As a member of this team, you will add value throughout the sales process in the areas of requirements analysis, solution development and in depth product demonstrations. This role is the trusted advisor for presenting the Bill suite of products to Mid Market and API prospects, as well as Accounting firms during the sales process. An ability to understand business process flow with strong technical and presentation skills is essential for success in this role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
  • 5 years in a pre-sales position with an Enterprise or Mid Market SaaS company, preferably focused on the financial buyer.
  • Application experience with one or more of the following solutions desirable: Netsuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Business Central.
  • Will require less than 15% travel in the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery to uncover business requirements across payments, approvals, and accounting workflows; document and translate them into solution designs.
  • Develop and deliver tailored, high-impact demos—virtual and in-person—that clearly show how BILL solves prospect pain points.
  • Serve as the pre-sales technical point of contact for Mid-Market, API, and Accounting Firm prospects; respond thoroughly to product and integration questions.
  • Partner with Sales, Sales Enablement, and Product to refine demo narratives, scripts, and best practices; share insights that guide solution enhancements.
  • Advise on process improvements and integration approaches between BILL and in-house accounting systems.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on competitive payment and adjacent solutions; articulate BILL’s differentiators and use cases.
  • Own the technical content for RFPs/RFIs and translate new release information into customer-ready messaging.
  • Coach Account Executives to become self-sufficient with demos and discovery.
