About The Position

As a Solutions Consultant at New Relic, you will leverage your technical knowledge, customer-facing abilities, and teamwork skills in a rewarding role. You will partner directly with Enterprise customers and collaborate cross-functionally with the go-to-market organization and sales team to demonstrate the value of New Relic’s Digital Intelligence Platform to prospects and potential customers. This role involves nurturing New Relic’s strategic direction and vision, as well as promoting and supporting new product directions on behalf of your customers. You are expected to be customer-obsessed, ensuring customers become lifelong proponents of the New Relic platform through outstanding relationship-building skills, real-time technical problem-solving, and by acting as a trusted advisor and solution architect.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of pre-sales experience within the software industry
  • 3+ years of demonstrated pre-sales experience working with complex customer
  • Strong technical background and sales/customer orientation
  • A desire to learn new technologies
  • An interest in or previous experience of performance monitoring tools (infrastructure, application, web or mobile, user experience)
  • Familiarity in one or more of the following development languages - Java, .Net, Ruby, C, Python, Node.js
  • Fluent in English

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SAP and OTEL
  • Exposure to and/or interest in cloud technologies: Kubernetes, containers, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD
  • Background in mobile device platforms & architectures (IOS & Android)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent desirable

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Enterprise Sales team on opportunity qualification, demonstrations, Proof of Value presentations (POV), RFP responses, and business justification in a presales capacity.
  • Lead all aspects of the adoption, optimization, and integration of New Relic’s products within customers’ business infrastructure throughout customer lifecycle
  • Be a joint partner with Sales to identify revenue opportunities through the upsell of new services and contract renewals
  • Vocal advocate for customer point of view: present support for new product features & provide customer feedback to New Relic product management and engineering groups
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the customer’s business goals as well as their technical environment
  • Enjoy some travel as this is a field-based role, with extensive travel opportunities for those that want to.
