About The Position

Under moderate supervision, regularly demonstrate creative problem solving while contributing to the documentation, planning and implementation efforts of small project teams to deliver solutions to business problems. Works on higher complexity issues and implements solutions by coordinating the efforts of a small team, defining solutions independently or collaborating with senior process and technical resources. Daily activities will include: documenting solutions in clearly understood language and, often, visually; coordinating task delivery and communicating personal task status to project stakeholders; deconstructing complex problems to help find simple solutions; collaborating with project teams to define workplans; and training, coaching and advising end users on solution use. Some latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may impact department or individual work groups, often collaborates with managers and/or functional site leaders, and has some interaction with external colleagues. Work with the custom, packaged, business intelligence, and operations platform project teams to define and execute project solutions, effort, and timelines. Ensure system analysis designs and process maps are documented and communicated with project stakeholders and MIS management. Analyze business and systems needs in terms of functional and technical requirements. Align solutions to MIS strategy. Work closely with project stakeholders and process leads to define business-centric requirements and evaluate available and/or custom system solution options. Collaborates with internal and external teams to define process improvements. Works with process owners, understands tactical and strategic plans in order to support operations. Provides project-specific input to help create the overall strategic roadmap for a domain. Communicates and coordinates with MIS management on resolution of user satisfaction issues. Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience managing technical solution implementations; OR
  • Associates degree and four (4) years of experience managing technical solution implementations; OR
  • High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) years of experience managing technical solution implementations.
  • Produce communication plans and RACI charts
  • Produce informative status reports to project stakeholders and direct supervisor
  • Explain project goals and business requirements
  • Capable of deconstructing a business process into system workflows and decision trees
  • Capable of translating a business process into system requirements
  • Defines and manages technical implementations on small or minor projects
  • Can explain, coach, and advise end users on proper configuration and system usag

Nice To Haves

  • Successful internship experience and completion with focus on applicable business processes, IT services and/or technology solutions.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience with StarLIMS (v11 or higher), including configuration, workflows, master data, and instrument integration.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (SQL Server or Oracle) for querying, troubleshooting data issues, and supporting integrations.
  • Understanding of mining, metallurgical, or process‑industry laboratory operations, including sample flows, turnaround expectations, and analytical cycles.
