Solidworks CAD Designer
About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Designer to support product development and manufacturing operations at our Houston facility, located on Navigation Blvd. Our team utilizes SolidWorks for design and drafting, along with additional modeling tools as needed. We also use Fusion 360 for CAM programming and operate Haas and Doosan CNC machine tools (mills and lathes) in-house. This role will primarily focus on SolidWorks drawing standardization, revisions to existing products, and development of new product designs. As a growing small business, our team members take on multiple responsibilities and collaborate closely across departments. This role offers the opportunity to expand your skill set and grow with the company.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test
- Strong work ethic and proactive, “get-it-done” mindset
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Fusion 360 (CAM) preferred
Responsibilities
- Fusion 360 toolpath programming (CAM)
- Product testing and support for research and development initiatives
- Shop coordination, including router management and production status updates
- Basic part inspection and quality verification
