About The Position

Are you charismatic, competitive, and serious about earning six figures? If you’re willing to learn and ready to sell, keep reading. We’re hiring new sales reps to join our team at Mpower Solar. In this full-time role you’ll help New Yorkers save money and go solar. You’ll learn to generate opportunities, lead in-home consultations, and guide homeowners through their solar journey from start to finish. No solar experience required. We provide structured, paid training for driven, coachable candidates. Compensation Breakdown On-Target Earnings: $145,000–$200,000+ annually Base Pay: $500 per week Commission: $250 per kilowatt (kW) sold Unlimited earning potential For example: At a minimum pace of 1 close per week on a ~7 kW system, representatives typically earn approximately $2,250+ per week (including base pay and commission). Top performers exceed this through additional closes and bonuses. In addition to base pay and commission Mpower Solar provides: $500 monthly personal vehicle stipend Performance bonuses and team incentives Incentive trips for top performers Paid training program covering solar product knowledge, lead development, and closing strategies

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and professional presentation
  • Comfort engaging homeowners in person
  • Hungry, coachable, and performance-driven
  • High accountability and self-discipline
  • Ability to operate independently within a team structure
  • Ability to handle objections, create urgency, and ask for the sale
  • Integrity-driven with zero tolerance for misrepresentation, shortcuts, or unethical behavior
  • Willingness to work evening and weekends, when the real money is made
  • Ability to walk and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales or customer-facing experience including solar, home improvement, automotive, real estate, consultative, or door-to-door (D2D) sales
  • Valid driver’s license, and personal vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Engage homeowners through high-impact, face-to-face conversations
  • Generate, qualify, and manage your own solar appointments
  • Conduct in-home consultations using Mpower Solar’s structured presentation framework
  • Educate homeowners on solar, tax incentives, and long-term value
  • Guide customers through the process from initial conversation to signed agreement
  • Maintain professional follow-up and build strong customer relationships
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, product education, and leadership development
