About The Position

Buffalo Solar is a commercial solar EPC delivering high-quality projects from development through construction. We are focused on accuracy, accountability, and long-term performance. We are seeking a Solar Facilities & Systems Specialist to evaluate building systems and infrastructure for solar feasibility. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems within commercial buildings, including service panels, transformers, and points of interconnection.

Requirements

Experience working with commercial electrical systems is required
Ability to identify and understand service equipment, panel configurations, and interconnection considerations
Experience with commercial buildings, facilities, construction, or related field
Comfortable working on rooftops and in active facility environments
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

Evaluate commercial buildings to determine solar feasibility
Assess electrical infrastructure (required), including panels, transformers, and interconnection points
Review roof systems, layouts, and structural considerations
Identify building and electrical constraints that impact system design and installation
Capture accurate site data through measurements, photos, and documentation
Communicate with facility managers, property owners, and on-site personnel
Provide clear, organized summaries to engineering and development teams
