We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Specialist / Applications Tester to provide business analysis and manual testing support for a mission-driven business management application. This role supports development and operations and maintenance (O&M) efforts for an enterprise Business Management Database (BMD) platform that enables data aggregation, reporting, and visualization to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, manual testing, Agile environments, and data-driven applications. This role requires collaboration across development, operations, and stakeholder teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

Experience as a Business Analyst supporting software development initiatives
Experience gathering and analyzing business and system requirements
Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case development
Experience working in Agile development environments
Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Experience with data analysis and validation
Experience developing reports and dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau
Experience working with relational databases such as Oracle or MySQL
Familiarity with Java-based applications and JavaScript UI frameworks such as AngularJS or ExtJS
Experience supporting AWS environments and cloud-based services
Experience incorporating DevOps practices including CI/CD and sprint-based workflows
Experience with Linux administration and scripting (Shell, PowerShell, or similar)
Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting

Responsibilities

Serve as a business analyst, acting as the liaison between stakeholders and the development team
Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements
Develop and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts
Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate system functionality against requirements
Perform data analysis to validate system outputs and ensure data integrity
Assist in development and delivery of Minimum Viable Increments (MVIs)
Provide reporting and data visualization support using tools such as Tableau
Collaborate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Support DevOps practices including continuous integration and testing processes
Work across all layers of the system architecture, including web UI, business logic, and database layers
Support deployment activities and ongoing application maintenance
Manage and support AWS services, including EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, S3, and related components
Assist with Linux-based system administration and scripting tasks
Support data integration and ETL processes
Utilize version control and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Confluence, or similar platforms
