About The Position

The Software Implementation Specialist is responsible for testing, commissioning and supporting our software solution. This is done through writing detailed test plans, performing pre-site software integration testing, commissioning and supporting the software solution at customer sites. The ideal candidate enjoys trouble-shooting software and hardware issues, customer interaction and traveling. They can observe an issue, fully document the issue, clearly report the issue to a developer, and communicate the issue to the customer. Software Implementation Specialist must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure. This is a full time entry-level project management role. We understand that this is an entry level position so we will train new employees on some of the technical side.

Requirements

  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities and analytical skills on both software and hardware.
  • Ability to learn technical systems including networks and databases quickly.
  • Strong demonstrated sense of customer service.
  • Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred degrees: CIS, MIS, IT or other technical related major.
  • SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise software systems, IT or process automation a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Write test plans and test scripts based on the system specifications
  • Perform pre-site software quality assurance testing aligned to software development activities
  • Installing, starting-up and troubleshooting automation software and equipment including: Installing servers, setting up work stations, some networking
  • Lead the execution of the site software validation test plan
  • Diagnose the software database structures for customer implementations and query databases to troubleshooting testing scenarios
  • Capture, summarize and communicate test results and progress with team members and our customer
  • Onsite project coordination with Project Managers, Sales Consultants and Customers
  • Participate in system acceptance testing, provide customer startup support and train end users with application workflows
  • Read and interpret application logs, identify system issues, propose solutions
  • Utilize remote desktop connection/virtual machines (VM)
  • Provide input into installation subcontractor selection. Occasionally for smaller projects the Site Supervisor may hire local personnel and perform the installation "in-house"
