About The Position

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, Texas to: Responsible for the design and implementation of consumer facing mobile and digital product platforms. Coordinate input from business and technology stakeholders across the organization to design and execute large-scale technology initiatives. Engage in technical design of solution that is based on use cases and business requirements. Complete proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of technologies, designs, and solutions. Work with development leads and architects (both enterprise and domain) to ensure overall Enterprise Architecture is inclusive of all stakeholder viewpoints and vetted to ensure that artifacts support, reflect, advance, and integrate as intended. Ensure inclusion of Visa's business vision, current business environment (internally and externally) and technology and industry trends to enable results that drive Visa's business. Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation.
JavaScript, TypeScript, React JS, and NodeJS
Web and mobile performance tuning and optimization
Closures, Currying, Promises, and ES6 features
Linting, prettier, and git hooks frameworks
Writing unit testing (Mocha, chai, Jest) and integration testing frameworks
OWASP secure coding practices
Worked with Redux middleware and redux sagas while working with CRUD operations
Design, develop, and maintain web applications across all stages of the development lifecycle
Cryptography features including encryption, decryption, JWE, and JWS
NoSQL
Test automation and test-driven development
AWS, cloud infrastructure

Responsibilities
