About The Position

CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, needs a Software Engineer - Sr. Consultant level (multiple openings) in Austin, TX to Design and code highly scalable and reliable transaction processing systems. API development. Establish engineering best practices for end to end application development, testing, deployment and monitoring. Developing event-driven applications. Deploying application using containerization technologies and orchestration tools. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development. Position reports to the Austin, Texas office and may allow for partial telecommuting.

Requirements

• Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer – Sr. Consultant level-related occupation.
• Designing, developing, and deploying scalable and secure distributed applications (using REST, JSON)
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (Java, Python).
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Tomcat and Spring Framework
• Kafka and MQ
• Automated and scalable CI/CD tools, including Jenkins and Maven
• Distributed caching technologies Hazelcast and Redis
• AI/ML Tools & Technologies (RAG, Fine Tuning, Context Engineering)
