Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience designing and implementing A/B tests for product or feature performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with performance profiling tools and debugging complex, full-stack performance bottlenecks in web or mobile environments.
  • Experience with client side development.
  • Experience with large-scale experimentation frameworks (e.g. Mendel) and an understanding of feature gating, coordinated rollouts, and holdback study mechanisms.
  • Ability to build automated safety checks (e.g. presubmits) and interactive developer tooling to reduce organizational toil and safeguard production stability.

Responsibilities

  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
