As a(n) Software Engineer Sr within PNC's Retail Banking Technology organization, you will be based in Strongsville, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; Birmingham, AL; and Dallas, TX. Due to the nature of this position we are seeking passionate Software Engineers. Candidates should have experience with the following: 1) Front‑End Engineering (Angular) Shape front‑end architecture and build reusable components aligned to accessibility, performance, and design standards. Implement secure, performant user experiences; manage state, API consumption, and quality through reviews and testing. 2) Back‑End & Microservices (Java/Spring Boot) Design and deliver scalable, resilient microservices and APIs with clear contracts, versioning, and reliability patterns. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance through sound design, monitoring, and continuous improvement. 3) Containerization, DevOps & Platform (OpenShift) Package and deploy services to the platform using standard templates and deployment practices that support safe rollouts. Maintain CI/CD pipelines with quality and security checks; coordinate with platform teams on configuration and operations. 4) Quality Engineering & Testing Strategy Define practical testing approaches across unit, integration, contract, and end‑to-end layers with meaningful coverage. Apply code quality gates and shift‑left practices to catch defects early and keep the codebase maintainable.
