Software Engineer - RTSM, Driver
About The Position
At Lyft, the Real Time Supply Management (RTSM) team within the Driver division is responsible for managing and enhancing real-time driver earnings products. This involves driving key business goals related to financial metrics and marketplace performance. The team focuses on developing and improving algorithms to automate the management of existing real-time earnings products, creating new earnings products, and overseeing their financial performance to support business growth. Lyft is actively seeking experienced software engineers from various disciplines who are eager to build, improve, and integrate technologies that enrich the lives of the community. As a Software Engineer at Lyft, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams such including product, data science, analytics, and operations. Your work will involve developing code that enables rapid iteration and focuses on enhancing the experience for both passengers and drivers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering industry experience
- Experience with object-oriented programming
- Experience in distributed systems
- Experience working with databases, relational or NoSQL
- Write clear, scalable and clear design documentation
- Design, build and improve a set of team owned components
Responsibilities
- Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and our needs
- Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
- Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
- Can help lead large projects from idea to positive execution
- Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results
