About The Position

At Lyft, the Real Time Supply Management (RTSM) team within the Driver division is dedicated to managing and enhancing real-time driver earnings products. This involves developing and improving algorithms to automate these products, creating new earnings solutions, and overseeing their financial performance to support business growth. Lyft is actively seeking experienced software engineers from various disciplines to join this team. Engineers will be instrumental in building, improving, and integrating technologies that enrich the lives of the Lyft community. The role involves collaboration with product, data science, analytics, and operations teams, contributing to code that enables rapid iteration and focuses on enhancing the experience for both passengers and drivers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software engineering industry experience
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience in distributed systems
  • Experience working with databases, relational or NoSQL
  • Write clear, scalable and clear design documentation
  • Design, build and improve a set of team owned components

Responsibilities

  • Help establish roadmap and architecture based on technology and our needs
  • Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
  • Share your knowledge by giving brown bags, tech talks, and promoting appropriate tech and engineering best practices
  • Can help lead large projects from idea to positive execution
  • Unblock, support and communicate with internal partners to achieve results
