As a Security Engineer within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in [Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH. Designs software solutions to address business needs. Writes code, tests and deploys software. Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software. Maintains and debugs software. Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 2+ years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered

Responsibilities

  • Owns and maintains testing standards, guidelines, and quality requirements across all team projects, ensuring consistent and repeatable testing practices
  • Leads the automation of the team’s QA processes, with a focus on increasing coverage, reliability, and speed of validation across the development lifecycle
  • Drives onboarding and adoption of PNC testing tools and frameworks, including VFaaS, Selenium, Jira X‑Ray, and performance testing capabilities
  • Partners closely with software engineers to embed quality and testability into designs early, rather than treating QA as a post‑development activity
  • Plays a key role in release readiness, validating functionality, identifying risk, and helping ensure releases meet quality and security expectations
  • Identifies gaps, defects, and broken workflows, and raises issues clearly and professionally while working collaboratively toward resolution
  • Communicates testing status, risks, and quality concerns effectively to engineers, product partners, and leadership
