Software Engineer - Portfolio Services

We are currently seeking senior backend software engineers to join our operating platform group at Addepar. In this role, you will have the opportunity to use the newest technology stacks to build the next generation of the entire data, computation, API, and research platform. We are looking for dedicated engineers with real technical depth and a desire to understand the end business. If you have experience in backend software engineering, proficiency in object-oriented languages, and expertise in cloud-native or messaging technologies, come join us and be a part of solving hard problems at scale.

• Responsible for all data acquisition, storage, conversion, cleansing, disambiguation, modeling, tooling, infrastructure, and provisioning of portfolio, market, account, and reference data
• Building the distributed systems responsible for automated data ingestion and transformation
• Using the newest technology stacks to build the next generation of the entire data, computation, API, and research platform of Addepar
• Solving hard problems at scale and delighting customers
• Participating in the success of the whole company
• Designing sophisticated scalable systems
• Working with great teams on hard problems in financial data
• Tackling complicated technical, critically important problems

• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience
• Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Java
• Proficiency in at least one cloud-native or messaging technology such as Kubernetes, containerization, Kafka, etc.
• Proficiency with relational and non-relational datastores
• Proficiency in CI/CD, monitoring, and logging systems
• Expertise in any of the above technical requirements is a huge plus!
