Discover opportunities to make a difference at RTX. Our Connected Aviation group is seeking qualified summer interns to join our elite Air Traffic Systems (ATS) team. This is your chance to contribute to the cutting-edge Wide-Area Augmentation System (WAAS) developed by the FAA, a pivotal element in the transition from ground-based to satellite-based navigation. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is onsite, in Fullerton, California. This role may be eligible for relocation.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with C or similar programming languages, structured programming, and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux-based development environment.
  • Knowledge of software testing and source code debugging.
  • Rising junior or rising senior.
  • Pursuing Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematical (STEM) degree.

Responsibilities

  • You will work in a team environment to design, code, test, document, and deliver new/modified functionality.
  • You will coordinate with developers, testers, release engineers, and engineers from other disciplines (e.g., Systems, Hardware) to ensure successful integration with other software components.
