Requirements

  • Clearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required).
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus five years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline plus seven years of experience, or nine years of software engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Strong experience using the Linux CLI and Linux system tools.
  • Proven ability to develop Bash scripts to automate manual processes.
  • Recent software development experience using Python.
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in operational systems.
  • Experience with CI/CD principles and tools including GitLab CI and Jenkins.
  • Proficiency with Git for source control.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with datacenter infrastructure management tools such as NetBox.
  • Experience with observability and analytics platforms like Splunk.
  • Exposure to identity and access management solutions such as Keycloak.
  • Familiarity with secret management tools including HashiCorp Vault.
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka.
  • Working knowledge of container technologies including Docker, Podman, or containerd.
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll develop, enhance, and sustain automation tools that support system management infrastructure for HPC platforms running in Linux environments.
  • You’ll write and maintain Bash and Python scripts to eliminate manual processes and improve reliability.
  • You’ll troubleshoot and debug operational issues across infrastructure services.
  • You’ll work with automation frameworks to orchestrate deployments and updates.
  • You’ll support CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to continuously improve system performance, documentation, and operational standards.
