Blentech Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Software Engineer I to join our team. We are looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Software Work Center. In this role, you will be at the intersection of traditional software development and industrial automation. You will support the development, testing, and maintenance of our proprietary ARTIS™ platform, which manages batch processing, data collection, and cloud reporting for our global fleet of equipment. This is a "learning-first" role. You will build a foundational knowledge of how PLCs, HMIs, and cloud services interact to create smart manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Programming Basics: Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar languages.
  • Tech Stack Familiarity: Experience with Git, SQL, APIs, and cloud fundamentals.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written skills with a commitment to high standards
  • Mindset: A strong willingness to learn and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to AWS services
  • Experience with Ignition, MQTT, PLCs, HMI, or manufacturing/food processing environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Support: Contribute to the ARTIS platform and future cloud application offerings.
  • Integrate: Assist with Ignition screen work, data handling, and industrial system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot: Help identify and fix software defects and edge-to-cloud communication issues.
  • Code & Document: Write clean, readable code and maintain documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Learn: Master industrial automation concepts including MQTT messaging and Rockwell-based systems.
