As a Back End Engineer, you'll help develop and optimize the services that power Truveta Studio, our customer-facing product for exploring real-world health data. You'll work closely with other engineers, and product teams to design reliable APIs, improve system performance, and enable seamless integration with our in-house agent, Tru.

Requirements

2+ years of experience building production quality software in a team setting
1+ years of experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or TypeScript
Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs or microservices
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative mindset and commitment to product quality

System monitoring, observability, and performance tuning

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain performant backend services and APIs using C#/.NET, Node.js, and TypeScript
Develop an MCP server to enable Generative AI scenarios for our customers
Build scalable and reliable services on cloud-native platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Use modern data and caching systems such as Cosmos DB, ADLS, Redis, and AKS to deliver resilient, high-throughput solutions
Collaborate across teams to design clean API contracts, improve system reliability, and ensure smooth data and service integrations
Follow best practices in code quality, testing, security, and performance
Participate in design and code reviews, promoting high engineering standards and knowledge sharing
Stay curious and adaptable, continuously learning new technologies and techniques to improve both individual and team effectiveness
