We are currently seeking a Software Development Manager to join our Engineering team. This role is available to candidates across Canada, excluding Quebec. If you are local to one of our hubs (Burnaby, Calgary, or Toronto) you will be expected to be in office minimum once per week on one of our Anchor Days. The Software Development Manager for our Payments Enablement team will be responsible for building a new team from the ground up, with the goal of driving higher enablement and activation rates for our existing Clio Payments product. As manager for this team, you'll be joining an ever evolving and fast growing domain, helping law firms take their business to the next level. Since we launched Clio Payments 3 years ago, we have seen tremendous growth in this area. Customers have given really positive feedback on the streamlined billing and payments solution we offer to help them manage their finances and make it easy to collect payments. We see tangible benefits lawyers get when using Clio Payments, and that is why it is important to drive higher customer adoption which will in turn help more law firms succeed by improving their collection rate. A day in the life might look like: You remain deeply hands on, and can step in on production level, high technical impact work when needed. Working with your team on designing the technical solutions Giving great feedback on code reviews, architecture documents, and more to help support team members making great technical decisions for their projects actively participate as a contributor to the project, either through extensive code reviews, or shipping code Having a 1:1 meeting with your direct reports to make sure they are supported in their career growth and development goals Actively participating in hiring to grow engineering team at Clio Reviewing code contributed by members from your team or other Clio developers reaching out to you for your experience with a given technology or pattern
