This position is in a program that provides medical and mental health monitoring, treatment, and follow-up care to rescue, recovery, restoration, and clean-up workers who responded to Ground Zero following 9/11, many of whom are diagnosed with World Trade Center (WTC)-related physical and mental illnesses. The social worker in this position is responsible for providing case management services to WTC responders who are members of the World Trade Center Health Program at Mount Sinai. The social worker will provide comprehensive screening, counseling, assistance, and advocacy to patients seeking entitlements and other supportive services. This position will assist with the delivery of case management services to patients with complex psychiatric and medical needs. The social worker will be responsible for providing direct, clinical services including remote and in-person consultations to patients.
