About The Position
This position is responsible for: Assists the lead social service worker in providing social service assistance to eligible clients in the following areas: food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial assistance; interviews clients to determine need and eligibility to receive services; prepares accurate and complete client records; and provides food pantry and clothing closet assistance to clients.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- No prior experience required, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Nice To Haves
- Valid State Driver's License (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist the reconnect supervisor with program changes and Implementation
- Facilitates educational and group sessions in relation to the treatment and recovery of substance abuse using a multi- disciplinary team approach
- Serves as liaison to other agencies to obtain/ coordinate assistance on the client's behalf; builds and maintains professional working relationships with the community
- prepares and files clients' records promptly, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
- Prepares and maintains statistical records on all services provided; complies and prepares monthly statistical reports; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
- Answer the telephone courteously and tactfully; assist clients by providing accurate and complete information
