About The Position

This position is responsible for: Assists the lead social service worker in providing social service assistance to eligible clients in the following areas: food, lodging, clothing, furniture, and financial assistance; interviews clients to determine need and eligibility to receive services; prepares accurate and complete client records; and provides food pantry and clothing closet assistance to clients.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
No prior experience required, or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Valid State Driver's License (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Assist the reconnect supervisor with program changes and Implementation
Facilitates educational and group sessions in relation to the treatment and recovery of substance abuse using a multi- disciplinary team approach
Serves as liaison to other agencies to obtain/ coordinate assistance on the client's behalf; builds and maintains professional working relationships with the community
prepares and files clients' records promptly, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date
Prepares and maintains statistical records on all services provided; complies and prepares monthly statistical reports; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same.
Answer the telephone courteously and tactfully; assist clients by providing accurate and complete information
