About The Position

We are on the hunt for a creative and driven Social Media Specialist to join our team and help support our digital presence! This role will focus on managing and growing Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Ripley’s Aquariums’ social media platforms by creating, scheduling, and engaging with content that sparks curiosity and builds community. From crafting captivating captions to collaborating with influencers, the Social Media Specialist will be at the heart of Ripley’s online storytelling. You’ll work closely with key team members to develop and execute innovative campaigns, short-form video content, and social strategies that align with our offbeat and adventurous identity. Additionally, as part of our onboarding process, you will be required to complete a comprehensive job rotation program through various roles within our attractions. This will involve directly interacting with our Guests to gain a comprehensive understanding or our operations and gain valuable insight into our Guest’s needs and expectations.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing
  • Strong short-form copywriting and copyediting skills
  • Strong native understanding of all social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Threads.
  • A passion for visual storytelling and creating trendy, engaging content
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines and tight turnaround times.
  • Work in a team environment, have a flexible attitude, and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with our on-site managers and other departments.
  • A positive, solution-oriented attitude with great organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in platforms such as Sprout Social, Klear, and Monday.com is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create, publish, and share daily content across all platforms, including but not limited to, Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, Threads, and TikTok.
  • Develop, plan and execute content calendar across all organic social channels.
  • Ideate, film, script, and edit short-form social videos for TikTok and Reels.
  • Develop and recommend social-first strategies, campaigns, and content ideas in cross departmental brainstorms.
  • Act as an on-camera host for short form and long form content.
  • Proficient in TikTok editor, Reels editor, CapCut, Davinci Resolve or comparable video editing software.
  • Track KPIs by executing weekly reports.
  • Work cross-departmentally with graphic designers and video team to develop content.
  • Manage influencer collaborations and contracts.
  • Work closely with Marketing and PR to understand objectives
  • Stay on top of the latest social media trends to best inform content decisions
