About The Position

We are seeking a creative, strategic, and results-driven Social Media Specialist to lead the execution and growth of AFW’s organic and paid social media presence. This role will be responsible for content creation, influencer management, paid social best practices, and driving engagement across all major social platforms.The ideal candidate combines creativity with data-driven decision-making and has a deep understanding of how to build community, drive traffic, and convert followers into customers.

Requirements

  • 3-4+ years of professional experience in social media marketing or digital marketing.
  • Proven experience managing social media influencers and creator partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success writing engaging, high-performing organic social media posts and video content.
  • Strong understanding of paid social media advertising best practices.
  • Thorough understanding and intermediate hands-on experience with: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on AFW’s success

  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, type 25+ wpm, advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.), advanced internet research skills required. Experience with social media, adobe, digital marketing required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.

  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager preferred.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, home furnishings, or consumer brands preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage AFW’s social media strategy across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Create engaging, on-brand organic content including posts, short-form videos, reels, and stories.
  • Write compelling, high-performing captions and video scripts that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Maintain and manage a content calendar aligned with event promotions and other marketing campaigns.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage social media influencers and content creators aligned with the AFW brand.
  • Negotiate partnerships, coordinate campaigns, and manage deliverables from influencers.
  • Track performance of influencer campaigns and report on ROI and engagement metrics.
  • Understand and apply best practices for paid social advertising across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and media agency to develop, test, and optimize paid campaigns.
  • Analyze campaign performance data and recommend improvements to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Monitor and engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster positive community interactions.
  • Ensure brand voice and messaging remain consistent across platforms.
  • Track organic and paid social media KPIs, including engagement rate, follower growth, reach, impressions, video performance, traffic, and conversions from several sources (e.g., Sprout Social, Google Analytics, social platforms).
  • Use data to continuously optimize organic and paid social media efforts.
  • Provide monthly performance reports and actionable insights to team.
  • Effectively use social media scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social).
  • Effectively manage several campaigns at once and communicate updates and challenges through project management tools (e.g., Asansa)
  • Work closely with the merchandise buyers and marketing teams to align social content with event promotions and campaigns across stores and at individual stores.
  • Stay current on social media trends, algorithm updates, and competitor activity.
