About The Position

Join Road Runner Sports as our next Social Media Manager. In this role, you will lead the charge in shaping how our brand shows up across PR, affiliate, and social channels. You will create compelling content, grow brand awareness, and drive sales through media placements and community-building efforts. This role owns our social media presence. You will collaborate across marketing, creative, and retail teams to bring campaigns to life, support product launches, COOP initiatives, and drive traffic and revenue to Road Runner Sports' physical and digital storefronts. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required (Equivalent experience: Associate's + 5 years experience, or GED + 7 years experience)
  • 3-5 years of proven success driving new customer acquisition in the digital space
  • Understand trends within the running & fitness industry
  • Understands the paid & organic social media landscape & can drive asset development from concept to completion based on industry trends and best in channel creative/messaging
  • Working knowledge (advanced-level proficiency) of AI and the core social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok, SnapChat & more
  • Working knowledge of social media publishing & scheduling platforms
  • Experience managing the digital marketing expense report process, accruals, ensuring all vendors adhere to payment terms and approvals meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline preferred
  • Multi-Channel retailer experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create video and photo content (for example, IG Reels), custom templates & designs for social media channels based on trending topics, product releases, and our marketing calendar
  • Stay abreast of the latest social media platforms, trends and platform functionality
  • Monitor online mentions of Road Runner Sports and provide the organization’s response to conversations, trending topics, and issues
  • Secure earned media, grow brand credibility, and drive new customer acquisition
  • Analyze media impact to inform future PR strategy and improve ROI
  • Collaborate with marketing, social media, and PR agencies as appropriate
  • Lead the development and execution of an organic social calendar that drives visibility, engagement, and traffic, with a clear focus on converting followers into customers and amplifying product launches
  • Monitor community conversations, foster meaningful engagement, and grow our audience through proactive interaction and rapid response
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with contractors and creators; continually evaluate performance and evolve the program for better results
