Requirements

  • 5-7 years of hands-on social media experience for a brand, publisher, or culturally relevant organization.
  • Proven experience owning content calendars, publishing, and copywriting for major social platforms.
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and short-form video ecosystems.
  • Strong editorial judgment and cultural fluency.
  • Experience with social analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, native platform insights).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to translate insights into action.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal stakeholders (marketing, events, PR, attractions, creative) to translate business priorities into a cohesive social content strategy.
  • Own the content calendar, ensuring balanced coverage across business priorities while adjusting for last minute changes. Create briefs for internal and external content creators.
  • Ensure content is platform-native, trend-aware, and aligned to audience behaviors on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Linkedin, X, and emerging platforms.
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and proactive content ideas tied to seasonal moments, tentpole events, and cultural trends.
  • Own end-to-end publishing across social channels, including scheduling, posting, tagging, and QA.
  • Write clear, compelling, and culturally fluent copy that reflects American Dream’s brand voice while adapting tone per platform.
  • Optimize captions, hooks, CTAs, hashtags, and posting cadence to drive engagement, reach, and traffic.
  • Monitor and track platform trends, audio, formats, and creator behaviors; proactively flag opportunities for fast-turn content.
  • Track, source, and manage UGC, including identifying high-performing fan and creator content for reposting or amplification.
  • Act as the front line of the brand by managing community engagement to build trust and loyalty: Monitor and respond to comments and DMs Surface customer feedback, FAQs, and sentiment Escalate issues or opportunities to internal teams as needed
  • Surface weekly insights on cultural trends, audience behavior, sentiment, and content learning.
  • Own weekly and monthly reporting on core social KPIs, including views, view rate, engagement rate, follower growth, top-performing content.
  • Translate performance data into clear recommendations to inform content optimization, testing, and iteration.
  • Continuously test and optimize content formats, posting cadence, and creative approaches based on performance.
  • Partner closely with creative, paid media, and influencer teams to ensure organic insights inform broader marketing efforts.
  • Stay current on platform changes, tools, and best practices to keep American Dream culturally and algorithmically relevant.
