Overview: The Social Media & Engagement Expert defines and executes a strategic social media and digital engagement approach for Celanese, ensuring a strong and visible presence aligned with key business priorities. The role promotes products, solutions, and offerings through compelling digital storytelling, actively engages external audiences, and builds scalable social media channels and communities including the activation of a new digital persona. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience defining and executing social media and digital engagement strategies in a B2B or corporate environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven ability to build and scale social media channels, communities, or engagement platforms
  • Strong track record in promoting products, solutions, or thought leadership through digital storytelling
  • Hands‑on experience creating or managing digital personas or distinct brand voices
  • Strategic, externally oriented mindset
  • Strong digital storytelling and thought‑leadership capability
  • Proactive, confident external engagement style
  • Data‑driven with strong ownership and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and activation of a new digital engagement persona to strengthen visibility, recognition, and adoption across external platforms
  • Own and execute a strategic, multi‑platform social media and digital engagement approach aligned with key business priorities
  • Build, launch, and scale social media channels beyond LinkedIn, defining clear purpose, voice, and engagement models
  • Promote products, solutions, and offerings through compelling digital storytelling that drives visibility and interaction
  • Actively engage external audiences and build and nurture a digital community of customers, partners, influencers, and industry stakeholders
  • Shape and amplify key narratives and priorities by collaborating closely with Campaign Managers and other key stakeholders
  • Track engagement and performance, translating insights into continuous optimization and increased impact
  • Identify emerging platforms, trends, and engagement opportunities to continuously expand reach and relevance
  • Act as the internal expert for social media and external engagement, setting best practices and guiding stakeholders
