About The Position

The Hy-Vee Corporate Social Media team is seeking a dynamic social media professional that is detail-oriented and ambitious to help coordinate, execute and report on organic social media efforts, across multiple channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. Ideal candidates are fast learners, independent problem solvers and possess the ability to quickly pivot while representing the Hy-Vee brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Media, Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
  • Understanding of social media platforms is required.
  • Visual requirements include ability to see detail at near range with or without correction.
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects as well as perform sedentary work.
  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
  • Commitment to the Hy-Vee Mission and a willingness to promote the values of the company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to relate to and interact with other people in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact with advanced computer systems, including schedule management and presentation production applications, as well as job-specific programs.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years previous related work experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a social media management system.
  • Experience working in Meta Business Suite.
  • Experience working with project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with content production and project management coordination as needed.
  • Monitor and share emerging social media, platform, industry and competitor trends.
  • Support internal and external education of social media best practices and governance regulations.
  • Identify user-generated content, and track approvals and usage.
  • Assist with creating training and process documents.
  • Help with reporting and data analytics for monthly and campaign reporting.
  • Build social media campaign briefs and support content production coordination.
  • Research and ideate audience and platform-specific content ideas.
  • Assist with monthly organic Pinterest campaigns.
  • Assist with publishing platform maintenance including data and dashboard clean up and organization.
  • Assist with scheduling posts and native publishing as needed.
  • Help with coordination and day-to-day communication with agency partners and internal teams.
  • Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
