About The Position

Kahala, a globally recognized leader in quick-service restaurant franchising, has an opportunity for a Social Media Coordinator to join its Interactive Marketing Team in the corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona. Kahala franchisees and partners operate a portfolio of over 28 QSR brands including Cold Stone Creamery, Blimpie, TacoTime and Baja Fresh, among others, in over 20 countries around the world.   The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things digital and a knack for attention to detail and organization. They actively use social networking sites both personally and professionally and sees Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. as valuable frontiers for the company to connect with existing and potential customers by providing valuable content, proactively engaging in conversations, and responding to comments or inquiries quickly. A qualified candidate will have experience creating high level social strategy, department processes, and managing dynamic, cross-departmental projects where they acted in the capacity of a project leader. This role also requires balancing creative and strategic thinking skills in the execution of comprehensive social and digital initiatives. Lastly, experience with both paid and organic social strategy and presenting KPIs is a requirement. The Interactive Department serves as a full-service, in-house social and digital marketing service team that partner with the brand teams for each Kahala concept. In this role, you will be assigned a portfolio of brands and will work closely with the brand teams and Marketing Managers to provide social media and digital strategy support that enhances and supports the overall brand goals and messages. You will be responsible for engaging fans in conversations and becoming "the voice" of each brand. Beyond simply social networking, this person must become a passionate brand steward that leads content creation and represents the brand in a way that adds value to the target consumer demographic, resulting in brand awareness growth and in-store foot traffic.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years professional work experience in a social media, digital marketing or project management capacity
  • Must have a thorough understanding of key social media sites including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Yelp. As well as knowledge of standard social media analytics (e.g. Facebook Insights)
  • Experience with Facebook Ad Manager, planning and executing paid social campaigns and presenting results
  • Exceptional copywriting and grammatical skills and a flair for using "social networking speak"
  • Strong analytics background
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven multitasking and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred in communications, marketing, journalism or new media
  • Experience with Sprout Social & Yext, a plus
