About The Position

We are looking for a wildly creative, trend-obsessed Social Creator to help shape the future of our brand across social handles. In this role, you’ll concept, shoot, edit, and write copy for content that inspires wanderlust and captures the adventure of vacationing for millions worldwide. You’ll live at the intersection of creativity and culture, elevating Royal Caribbean as the most entertaining travel brand on social. The right candidate for this role thrives from autonomous work and adheres to tight publication deadlines without losing focus on quality outputs from conception to completion. Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple assignments
  • Excellent editor & expert shooter who uses their skill sets to tell incredible stories
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a content creator
  • Must be comfortable being in front of and behind the camera
  • Proficiency in mobile editing tools and pro tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field experience

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with cruising or the broader travel industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Concept & execute high-impact, platform-native content optimized for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and emerging platforms.
  • Propose & develop compelling story arcs in collaboration with the rest of the creative team from ideation to filming to editing. These arcs should elicit audience connection.
  • Capture and edit original footage on ship and in destinations, bringing to life the vacation experience in fresh, unexpected ways.
  • Experiment with new content formats, storytelling techniques, formats, and hooks to maximize engagement and reach.
  • Work autonomously to develop and produce concepts that adhere to strict publication deadlines
  • Ensure all content adheres to the brand’s positioning, vision, and legal requirements.
  • Use analytics to inform creative decisions and iterate on content formats.
  • Maintain a constant pulse on cultural, social, and platform trends; proactively identifying concepts that can scale to large audiences.
  • React quickly to trends with fast-turn creative that feels organic to the brand and platform.
  • Monitor comments and social conversations to surface opportunities for reactive content for fan engagement.
  • Constantly remain attuned to content performance and best practices that drive followers and engagement.
  • Collaborate with partner teams to make necessary production arrangements so that content can be captured onboard and shoreside in a timely manner.
  • Work with talent, crew, and ship teams to coordinate production moments on location across the fleet.
  • Ability to pivot quickly and produce fast-turn content for emerging needs, announcements, or trends.
  • Travel frequently for productions on ships and destinations around the world
