About The Position

Spartans Sports Camp is dedicated to providing an encouraging and positive environment that aids the development of its campers as both children and athletes. In the course of this goal, we intend to promote an active, healthy lifestyle for campers and to provide leadership opportunities for high school and college students. Spartans Sports camp is operated by the Mountain View High School Athletic Department. Since 2012, the camp has raised over $630,000 for MVHS Athletics. The Social Media Assistant/Photographer is a part-time position during the school year and summer. The goal of this position to produce effective marketing material to drive registration numbers. This position will be 1-2 hours a week during the school year and 5 hrs per week during the summer depending on business needs. Requirements

  • Minimum current grade level: 10
  • Videography and photography experience (ideally some experience covering sports).
  • Pass background check if age 18 or older.
  • Provide references upon request.

Responsibilities

  • Develop content by taking photos and videos of camp during the summer. In the offseason conduct short video interviews of camp employees to use for marketing.
  • Work with social media manager to create and schedule posts via Hootsuite
