About The Position

Edelman is looking for a Social Manager to join a growing team of community experts that develop, execute, and support social media strategies on behalf of our clients. As a Social Manager, you will be the brand’s eyes, ears, and tone of voice on social. You will engage and nurture communities across multiple social channels through relevant content and meaningful interactions. You have a nose for real-time opportunities and social trends and will bring social-first, community-led thinking to brainstorms and content ideation. As a Social Manager, you will also partner closely with integrated teams to develop, manage, and post approved social responses, proactively flag opportunities and insights to the team, and work with strategy and analytics to provide insights and recommendations. To be successful in this role, you will have solid research, writing, and editing skills and an appreciation for how social media impacts the overall brand experience. You will be flexible and agile, and will be able to work collaboratively with all implementation teams to ensure that the brand’s communication objectives and strategies are met.

Requirements

  • At least two years of work experience in digital, community management, or social media
  • A passion for social media from brand and cultural perspectives
  • Solid grasp of core social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and how they are used, their limitations, content formats and technical requirements
  • The ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Understand the importance of monitoring consumer conversation for relevant insights and the role social and digital play in a client’s communication mix

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of influencers, creators, and tastemakers across social platforms is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with social media management and listening tools such as Khoros, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Archive is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Engage with audiences across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and other social channels
  • Exemplify the brand voice and tone in all community interactions
  • Draft copy and support content ideation for owned social content
  • Work with the internal and client teams on brainstorms and agile social moments
  • Exhibit strong cultural competency and the ability to identify relevant trends and opportunities
  • Maintain and organize accurate documentation across content calendars, engagement trackers, etc., ensuring all updates and changes are reflected in master documents and tools
  • Maintain and improve workflows and processes for community engagement
  • Proactively flag emerging trends and opportunities for the brand and proactively escalate issues in a timely matter
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide learnings and recommendations based on data
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging creators, formats, and platform updates
