The specialist will proactively engage in culturally relevant conversations across entertainment, sports, film, gaming, and technology ecosystems, identifying high-velocity cultural moments and engaging in a platform-native and brand-aligned manner. Key duties include managing inbound comments, DMs, and mentions, escalating issues when necessary, and developing community engagement playbooks and response frameworks. The position also requires providing real-time coverage support for global tentpoles and events, working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The specialist will support cross-platform and cross-regional content publishing, social listening, reporting, and campaign amplification, driving information sharing and operationalizing best practices. Furthermore, the role involves researching emerging platforms and trends, supporting new social channel launches, identifying experimentation opportunities, and staying ahead of algorithm shifts. Monitoring engagement performance, providing weekly community health summaries, and tracking audience sentiment are also crucial. The ideal candidate is described as "chronically online," understanding memes, tone shifts, creator culture, and platform nuance instinctively, with strong judgment, collaborative spirit, and an ability to protect and evolve brand voice.
