The working title of this position is Smith River Reservation Clerk with duties assigned to Smith River State Park. This is an office-based, clerical position which is funded at .40 FTE, or 832 hours per year (approximately 25 hours per week). Annual duties begin in early March and extend through early August, with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Must be proficient with Microsoft 365 suite and able to sit for extended periods speaking on the phone with customers. Specific Job Information: Performs the duties of “Smith River Reservation Clerk” staffing the Smith River Reservation and Cancellation phone line and maintaining the Smith River Automated Licensing System (ALS) and accompanying permittee spreadsheet. This includes answering the phone and recording cancelled float permits, entering new permittees who pick up cancelled float permits, entering, updating and maintaining commercial outfitter launch dates and quotas and emailing float permits and pertinent information to new permittees. Additional duties involve preparing bank deposits and remittances and recruiting and scheduling volunteer shuttle drivers. May perform additional tasks and duties as assigned and needed.
