Requirements

  • Related certification or degree from a technical school and a minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance: clean, inspect, adjust, and test various machine parts.
  • Perform floor maintenance: trouble shoot and repair machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming.
  • Assist floorpersons or equivalent with malfunctions and answer floor calls.
  • Perform machine conversions: install kits in machine cabinet and computer processor board, and verify paytable and reel stops.
  • Assist customers with questions and complaints regarding slot machines. Provide answers and explanations, and rectify problems as appropriate.
  • Work on special projects as assigned. Assist with every phase, from layout to installation.
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock of parts necessary for repairs. Order as needed and check in incoming parts.
  • Perform shop maintenance: trouble shoot and repair electronic circuit boards, test and adjust loaner units, reprogram progressives and messages, etc.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements.
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
  • - Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter. Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Any reasonable request made by your supervisor or any management personnel.
