Position Summary: Provide friendly, efficient Four Diamond Service to guests. The Slot Technician has a thorough knowledge of video and slot machines and the equipment necessary to service and repair them. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. In this Role: Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting AAA Four Diamand and Gun Lake Casino Resort’s “Unsurpassed Service” Standards at all times. Be involved in all aspects of machine conversions and relocations, including but not limited to paperwork, and sign installation. Be familiar with OSHA safety codes regarding chemicals and electrical equipment used within the department. Responsible for maintenance, repairs, installs, and general operation conditions of slot machines, electronic boards, bill acceptors, and printers on the casino floor. Troubleshoot slot machines, perform RAM clears, set-up slot machines, and have a fundamental understanding of IGT Player tracking systems and components. Establish thorough familiarity with all test equipment and support equipment, progressive controllers, and related equipment. Attend regular Technician meetings and share knowledge, work, and repair methods with other Team Members and management. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the slot machines and related equipment. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of completed work. Key issuance control: Slot machines and drop cabinets. Communicate with guests in a friendly and positive manner. Be aware of all current and upcoming events and promotions. Respond to calls from Slot Team Members and provide technical assistance. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: Must be 21+ years of age. Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. Must have three (3) years technical related experience, and/or 2 years of slot tech experience. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form. Have basic math skills. Be able to communicate, understand, read, and write English. Maintain positive and effective working relationships with Team Members and guests. Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies, and procedures. Must be able to obtain a gaming license with the Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Commission. Physical Requirements: Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color, and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols. Ability to move a minimum of 50 lbs using a hand truck with or without assistance. Ability to utilize a 2-way radio and communicate clearly with fellow Team Members. Have the manual dexterity necessary to operate small and large hand tools. Work Conditions: Work is typically in an office environment or out on the casino floor. Work areas may be warm, cold, or noisy and may contain second-hand smoke. Tasks may be required to be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull, and grasp.
