We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking individual to join our team as the Hotel Food and Beverage Manager. Job Summary: The Hotel Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction and profitability. This role involves strategic planning, management of staff, inventory control, and maintaining quality standards in food and beverage services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Food and Beverage Manager in a hotel or similar establishment.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, food safety, and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends..
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills..
  • Ability to execute appropriate action plans.
  • Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.
  • Written communication skills to be concise, well organized, complete, and clear.
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • The ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, coworkers, the public, guests, and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive food and beverage strategy aligned with the hotel's overall goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to enhance the hotel's offerings.
  • Collaborate with chefs and culinary staff to create innovative and appealing menus.
  • Ensure that menus reflect current food trends, dietary needs, and local preferences.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, bars, room service, and catering.
  • Monitor service standards to ensure a consistently high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage budgets for the food and beverage department.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Implement effective inventory management systems to control costs and minimize waste.
  • Establish relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of food and beverage professionals.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture and ensure that all staff members provide exceptional service.
  • Address guest feedback promptly and implement improvements based on customer input.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in regulations affecting the food and beverage sector.
  • Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objective are met.
  • Understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence
