About The Position

The Sky Lounge Manager helps create a joyful and vibrant community by providing prompt and excellent service to residents & guests when preparing/serving food & drinks in the lounge and by overseeing & performing operations for the Sky Lounge including organization and cleanliness for the entire lounge area, and promoting a positive & professional image to residents, families, and guests.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen/bar environment preferred.
  • Requires attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet the requirements of the position
  • Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other community staff.
  • Ability to creatively problem-solve in both resident care and employee management.
  • Maintains clean, neat, comfortable, safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Current First Aid and CPR
  • Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
  • Meets all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
  • Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
  • Maintains current Food Handlers and MAST cards

  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen/bar environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides formal training and schedules for all servers to provide a great experience for all residents and guests.
  • Establishes and assigns work responsibilities for each section, by meal period. Inspects to ensure quality and accountability.
  • Ensure that all food & beverage venues in the Sky Lounge are clean and well maintained for all aspects of service; including tables and chairs that are set in a uniform and consistent manner.
  • Ensure that all residents and guests are greeted promptly as they enter the Sky Lounge.
  • Provides excellent and timely customer service to all residents and guests.
  • Maintains the private dining room for use as scheduled.
  • Conducts pre-open review prior to opening including but not limited to: The daily menu and specials. Personal presentation is in accordance with Fieldstone standards for uniforms and grooming. Inventory stock ready Residents special needs and concerns. Daily Service Training Points.
  • Schedules staff within budgeted departmental guidelines.
  • Prepares and serves food and beverage items to residents and guests.
  • Recognizes performance issues and provide staff with corrective solutions.
  • Cleans and maintains a neat, safe working environment including the kitchen and food service areas.
  • Ensures servers follow sequence of service for each resident and guest.
  • Attends and participates in required meetings and trainings. Stays current on system assigned tasks and duties.
  • Observes changes in resident status, needs, or preferences and communicates with appropriate team members.
  • Records resident information as required.
  • Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.
