Skate Shop Attendant
About The Position
The Skate Shop Attendant reports directly to the Director of Guest Services and is responsible for daily operations of the Madeline Hotel and Residences ice skating rental shop. Create memorable and highly personalized experiences for our guests, residents and local patrons Operate the rental shop during open hours Secure liability waivers for every skate shop patron Keep skates and shop organized and clean at all times Liaise with support departments such as maintenance and housekeeping as needed Keep skates in good working condition and sharpened Open and close shop Communicate with town regarding ice and weather conditions to adjust opening and closing hours Operate POS and report daily reporting to supervisor Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
- Basic computer skills with ability to learn
- Strong organizational skills under pressure during busy times
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; rental hours will change toward the end of the season due to weather.
- Previous customer service experience
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with rental and retail POS systems preferred
